The Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP) has also described Mama HID Awolowo as a custodian of South West politics.
The Chairman of the National Caretaker Committee of the association, Chief Oyewole Olowomojuore who was at the Awolowo home today to pay a condolence visit to the Awolowo family said the deceased was an epitome of truth, support and loyalty.
The veteran actor who is popularly known as Baba Gebu also added that, "Mama was not just a strong pillar that held the hut of Awolowo family upright with her unalloyed support during Baba's lifetime. She successfully combined the agony of the untimely demise of her soulmate, with the task of adding his responsibilities to her matrimonial duties."
