The musicians were among the hundreds of musicians that paid the governor a thank-you visit on his impact to the growth of music and the last One Lagos Fiesta which featured virtually all the musicians and entertainers in the country.
Tolu Obey commended the governor for his concern in extending his wind of change to the entertainment industry.
“On behalf of PMAN and the entire industry, we are happy and we salute the courage of Governor Ambode to have shown interest in supporting us. He has not only empowered musicians, but has also put food on the table of young Nigerians, especially musician, band members, instrumentalists, engineers, among others, who have one way or the other participated in the festival in various five locations of the state. We are grateful and we pray that he will achieve all his desires and promises to take the entertainment industry and the state at large to a greater height,” he stated.
Buga appreciated as well as described Amode’s involvement in the entertainment industry at this time as a welcome development, stating that the stakeholders were indeed grateful for the rare support.
Buga, who was one of the musicians that played a vital role during the governor’s campaign in Lagos, said that good times were here for the entertainment industry, as the governor had commenced plans for lofty initiatives that would give the industry a new face.
The meeting also deliberated on other initiatives that would boost of the industry, support and empower talented youths, aside the just established One Lagos Fiesta event.
