Actress-cum-movie producer, Ini Edo has joined the leagues of Nigerian celebs venturing into hotel and hospitality business, especially in the heart of Lagos, as she had concluded plans to officially open her multi-million Naira entertainment hub situated at Lekki Phase 1, Lagos on Septemnber 30.

ANTP visits Ikenne, says Mama Awolowo was a custodian of South West politics

The Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP) has also described Mama HID Awolowo as a custodian of South West politics.

The Chairman of the National Caretaker Committee of the association, Chief Oyewole Olowomojuore who was at the Awolowo home today to pay  a condolence visit to the Awolowo family said the deceased was an epitome of truth, support and loyalty.

Lagos dancers excite Dance with Peter judges

Marc IV picks Oct 1 for 'Ori Owo' official launch

Hip-hop artiste, Marc Harrison, popularly known as Marc IV, has concluded plans to launch himself into the entertainment industry with his first single entitled: “Ori Owo”. The launch will take place on October 1.

This was revealed at just-concluded 90th anniversary of the church which was widely celebrated with fun and excitement at NIS, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos State on Saturday. The event, however, revealed thereal reason the music producer always use a necklace with crucifixion cross.

Sojourn into acting
My journey into the acting world has been challenging as well as awesome. I eventually realised that it is a platform to explore my talent. I know I am not there yet, but I am convinced that I am in for the game. I am not in a rush for fame, because I know God is there to order my step. I love acting; in fact, I don’t see it as a job, but what I love to do. It all started when my church called for an audition in 2011 and I picked interest in it.

COSON hosts digital summit

All is set as Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), in collaboration with Growth & Employment Projects (GEM) Nigeria supported by the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade & Investment and funded by the World Bank and the United Kingdom’s Department of International Development (DFID) hosts the Nigerian Digital Music Summit.

The two-day summit,, which will take place at Eko Convention Center, Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, on September 28 and 29, has the theme “Establishing the Basic Rules of Engagement in the Digital Environment.”
 COSON Chairman, Chief Tony Okoroji expects to see songwriters, performers, music publishers, music label owners, government regulatory agencies at the summit. “The summit is critical as the production and distribution of music has gone almost completely digital. New business models are emerging. The distribution process is changing rapidly. It is an opportunity to agree on how to move forward so that everybody’s interest is protected and the Nigerian music industry can grow and meet its true potentials,” he stated.

Upcoming actress, Precious Chukwueke, has warned producers who are eager to see her nude to stop pestering her with financial inducement as she is not ready to go nude or topless on the set of their movies.

Otherwise known as Orange Berry, Precious told reporters in Owerri, My Neighbor’s Wife, that she wouldn't do such for all the money in the world.

Audrey Silva releases trail for ‘Suru L’ere’


Following the success of ‘The Meeting’, The Audrey Silva Company (TASC) has released the trailer for its latest production “Suru L’ere”.  The trailer is a sneak peek of what to expect when the movie is eventually released later in the year or early 2016.

Set in Lagos, the movie depicts the life of a young, timid graduate desperate to overcome his financial woes.  The protagonist, Arinze, played by upcoming talent Seun Ajayi, meets ambitious and beautiful Omosigho by chance and it sets off a chain of events that force him to explore a “get rich quick” idea.

D’Banj eyes new business

D’banj is set to release a visual EP consisting of seven videos that would be released every week, just as he is on the verge of  becoming one of Nigeria’s richest artistes following an extensive business meeting last week with Diana Chan Lee over new projects.

Four weeks into the project, D’Banj has released three videos,  entitled “Knocking on my Door,” “The King is Here” and “Salute  & Confidential”, which features Idris Elba.

Artquake bounces back with new releases

Ice K and Adx of Artquake, who have been out of the country for months now in a bid to give their music career a new face, have finally  come out with new versions of some of their old hits.
