Day C&S honoured 'Evangelist Don Jazzy'

It was a day of revelation and honour when the leader of the MAVIN records, Don Jazzy was officially revealed as one of the influential members of the popular Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim & Seraphim church nationwide.

This was revealed at just-concluded 90th anniversary of the church which was widely celebrated with fun and excitement at NIS, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos State on Saturday. The event, however, revealed thereal reason the music producer always use a necklace with crucifixion cross.


When asked whether he was billed to grace the concert, Don Jazzy replied: “No. I am a true member and family of the C&S. I am glad and honour to be here. I was an Evangelist before I left the mission. However, I am proud to be a son of the soil and grateful for this recognition.”

 The concert was stunned my popular artistes including, Evangelist Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi, Mid-Night Crew, Lanre Teriba, Korede Bello, Taiwo and Kehinde Adegbodu among others.

Earlier before the revelation and recognition, the representative of the MAVIN records at the event, Don Jazzy and Korede Bello escalated the venue with the raving hit of the young talent artistes, ‘Godwin’. Delighted Don Jazzy who was on white attire also demonstrated his competence to handle a guitar, as he dropped the microphone for a bass guitar which added fun to his artistes performance.

The former Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), who is also the Deputy Baba Aladura of the church, Dr Harold Demuren afterwards made the official presentation of the award to Don Jazzy with accolades from members and dignitaries that graced the event. 

In confirmation to the revelation as well as to celebrate with the music producer on the award, Don Jazzy’s, his father, Collins Enebeli took to his Facebook handle to share past pictures of the family and he and his son in white garment, just as he gave gratitude to God over the development.
