Evergreen musician, Evangelist Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi, who was at the Awolowo’s residence yesterday to commiserate with the family on the passing of Chief HID Awolowo, has revealed that he had composed a song in honour of Mama.
Obey, who described Mama as a true example of motherhood, said “She was the mother of the nation and mother of the Yorubas. She dedicated her life to good deeds and she was also true to the example of her husband, Chief Obafemi Awolowo. The good deeds of the Awolowo family will never be forgotten.”
When asked if he had a song for Mama, just like he did when Chief Awolowo passed on, Obey told Sky Entertainment that “just this morning, I composed a song that will be dedicated to Mama’s cherished memory.”
