Ablow expands music career

Fast-rising singer, Abayomi Busari, popularly known as Ablow is, no doubt, accomplishing his resolution for the year 2015, just as he has extended his fan base outside the shores of the country, following his recent trip to the United Kingdom.
Ablow who recently returned from a trip to the UK has revealed his real mission to the foreign, saying that, “My mission to the UK was to expand and move beyond my shore. It is a different kind lifestyle and industry that one needs to add to his brand.

CVL celebrates Taiwo Ajai-Lycett @74

Actress, Taiwo Ajayi Lycett, was the cynosure of all eyes at the Centre for Values in Leadership (CVL) Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Tuesday as encomiums were showered on her by her colleagues and others dignitaries who graced her 74th birthday bash.
The event, packaged by CVL founded by Professor Pat Utomi and tagged: “Leadership without Title (LWT)” brought thespians, academia and friends to celebrate the veteran who started her acting career in London.
After a documentary on the ageless actor was shown, Taiwo thanked those who put up the birthday together and all those in attendance.
“In the midst of this fuel crisis, I was only expecting a handful. I’m moved to tears. Actors can change the world, they can change the system. We are actors because we want to project ideas, ideas that will change the world. The problem we have in the country is the fact that a lot of people went to the university but they are not educated. They have Phd and they have no idea what to do with it.

In a bid to make the event memorable, and in effort to also establish the mission of the event by creating a platform in giving a face lift for growing indigenous Afrobeat musicians in the UK, JJC has announced R&B pop group Big Brovas as one of his special guests that will join him on stage today.

10 TAMPPAN members return to school

Apparently in a rush to deliver in some of the promises he made to the over 10,000 members of TAMPPAN before his emergence as its leader, the national President of the Theatre group, Dele Odule, has ensured that 10 members of the association who want to empower themselves academically have gained admission into the Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU).
Courtesy of the Federal Government scheme, Project Nollywood, the fortunate 10, names withheld, have begun registration processes at the state-owned university in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State.
“We are determined to make the industry more attractive and viable to stakeholders, the academic empowerment of our members is one of the ways to do this’, Odule told R on Friday.

There seems to be nothing stopping chubby actress and producer, Eniola Badmus, in her quest to take her trade even beyond the shores of the country.
Badmus who has been making appearances in Nollywood movies of late is currently in London shooting her latest flick. Information gathered revealed that these are actually good times for the dark actress who is never shy of her huge stature. It will be recalled that Badmus took delivery of a brand new white Honda Pilot recently and has been rated as one of the busiest cross over actresses currently.

Popular Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, fondly called Omo-Sexy has said she can see her trait in all her children claiming that “a lion cannot give birth to a rat”. Omotola stated this at the just held Unilever awareness programme on iron deficiency in women and children, at the Intercontinental Hotel, Lagos.
The brand ambassador of Knorr Cubes, a product of Unilever Big PLC revealed that “My children don’t have a choice, they have to take after me. A lion does not give birth to a rat. Nollywood actress, Uche Jombo turns mother

 Nollywood actress, Uche Jombo and her hubby are in a joyous mood as the family has been blessed with a new baby boy.

The Abia State-born actress broke the good news on Thursday as she expressed her joy on the safe delivery of the new born whom she had already named Matthew.

P-Square to perform at Buhari’s inauguration ceremony

Following the preparations for the handing over of the new leadership of the president-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, marking the commencement of his rule in the history of Nigeria’s democracy as democratic president, popular hip-hop artistes, P-Square will lead other artistes to perform at the inauguration ceremony tomorrow.

Indeed, I am a politician, but we cannot run away from the fact that all human beings generally are political animals and having said that, I think I deserve the right to pitch my tent with any political party I feel is good for me. Taking a look at all the All Progressive Congress, (APC) ruling states and success it recorded at the last general election, it is clear that the states witnessed tremendous development. However, despite the fact that I follow politics, it has not for once affected my primary call, which is music.

Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson is professing her undying 'love' for actor John Dumelo barely a week after the two had a nasty rift on twitter.

YOU recently gave back to the society as part of activities marking your 32nd birthday. What really informed this?

I won’t describe it as giving back to the society. I would say it was a development aimed at investing in my community. We are looking at how we can make people become the best in their endeavours in our own little way. So, I worked with my friends at the French Cultural Centre and the Alliance Francais. We decided to donate French lessons to both junior and senior secondary school students of Agidingbi Grammar school. A French teacher will go there once a week to teach French.

I was also able to celebrate 50, then 60, until three years ago when I clocked 70, the light of God has continued to shine on me, even till now.
