Celebrities task incoming government

ORIS SIMEON
The first change we want to see is a change in the electricity issue in the country. Secondly, we need good roads. Also, I think that if the  security issue is properly looked into, every other thing will fall into place naturally.
MERCY JOHNSON
My expectation concerning the incoming government of Buhari is focus on the most important things. We need the government to pay attention to human development, power, security, and of course, the entertainment industry.  I also expect that there should be no
witch hunt.
Olasunkanmi Omobolanle
We demand the very best any government can offer citizens, that’s our only expectation.
Sunny Nneji
We all want the big change and I’m optimistic and very hopeful that the big, positive change is here. We need to keep hope alive because that’s the only way to look forward to tomorrow with expectations.
VICTOR OLAOTAN
It has been mixed emotions, we all  expect good things because of the stress we have been through.  The corruption we have witnessed hasn’t been this bad, we have not really experienced hardship in this country like other countries, I am sure if the fuel scarcity had continued, area boys had begun to see the good in this, it’s scary. In view of all this, the new govt should stamp out corruption, bribery in the ministries should be erased, people should be satisfied with what they have.
I expect this new government to be unique, they might not take us to the promised land but they should start and I hope he is not one of the cabal, I pray he will work, someone needs to sacrifice for this country, though those lives lost in the Boko Haram attacks will not be a waste. I expect a drastic change from what we had before.
FEMI KUTI
I’m not going to fool myself because politicians are the same people, right now, as we speak they are fighting about who will be the next Senate president. Please, is that the problem we are facing?
They are not even saying they will scrap their travelling and housing allowances. Why can’t they reduce it to the minimum wage and see what we are facing?
First, they should get the general hospitals and public schools working and stop taking their children to the best schools abroad.
Obasanjo was there for eight years and did little or nothing to revive the refineries. All he did was to facilitate the use of GSM in Nigeria which other countries were using long before us, and now he has come out to support Buhari.
The political elite do not have the people’s interest at heart, frankly speaking, it’s either they are fooling us or using juju.
Fela was already complaining about 1 dollar being equivalent to 2 naira, but they said he was smoking igbo.
I told a friend that we have been in a state of anarchy for the past 15-20 years, but he did not believe me. If you travel around some states in this country, you will see poverty all over, it just seems we will kill each other one day and we are moving backward everyday. I fear for Nigeria!
ARA
We expect change as promised. We cannot keep buying fuel at exexorbitant prices, In fact we want change in all areas of the economy, education, agriculture, healthcare, security, electricity and every other area.
YUL EDOCHIE
I demand good governance. A good country, we have the resources to make nigeria great. UAE has oil, the same oil we have. Dubai is one of the finest cities in the world, because they use their oil money well. I want it to be the same with Nigeria, not few people taking all the money while the masses suffer.
Kunle Afolayan
In the past the last government focused on few aspects of the economy and did not have great impacts. I expect the new government to look at those parts that will make drastic impacts. Though I’m  not an economist, I know that there is the need to restructure and rejuvenate the oil sector.
The outgoing government claimed they put money into agriculture, but I didnt see it, but I  want this new government to be focused and turn around majority of the sectors in the country. We have had series of broken promises, so I am not really relying on their manifesto, but I am positive that things will turn out well.
WAJE
We cannot afford to lose hope in the new government. The new government was elected under the banner of change, we hope to see change in the petroleum situation in the country, we also hope to see a more robust economy that directly affects the citizens. Above all, we hope that our children will grow into a nation they can call theirs with pride because of the opportunities the government has given them.
