Obey names church, school after parents today

IN a bid to honour the memories of his parents, the Toriola Fabiyi and Kembis families, the music icon, Evangelist Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi, will today, gather dignitaries from all walks of life to his hometown, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, to immortalise his parents.

Sky Entertainment gathered that the new building of both Methodist Church, Idogo and Methodist Primary School, Idogo which were both rebuilt from their old structures by the music legend, would be dedicated and commissioned today in memory of his parents.
According to a release signed by Obey’s manager, Mr Tunji Odunmabaju,  “the Methodist Church Archbishop of Riye and Bishop of Egba Yewa, Most Reverend Luke Odunbanjo will perform the dedication of the new church building, while the commissioning of the new primary school will be performed by the Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr Segun Odubela.
Obey, who is delighted on the development, revealed that he was poised in contributing his quota to serve humanity, as well as to honour his parents in a special way, adding that “this will, no doubt, go a long way, especially in the quest to continue to remember them in a dignified manner.”
