Buga to dazzle at WYC

JESSE King, popularly known as Buga and his Villagers’ band have been billed to perform at the World Yoruba Conference (WYC) in Vancouver Canada, which holds this month.
According to the president of the Yoruba Group Forum, New York chapter, who is also a music promoter in the US, Mr Demola Oyefeso, the 3-day event, which will commence on August 20 to 22 is was designed to explore the rich culture of Yoruba in the foreign countries, adding that, “the event will unite  Yoruba group and other dignitaries at the convention. We have also lined up other activities to make the event memorable.”
Buga is optimistic about the event and has promised to give his best as part of his commitment to the culture and tradition of his country home, Nigeria.
In his words, “my expectation is high and it is going to be a good time to thrill the yoruba people who may turn up to celebrate. No doubt, it is going to be an avenue to promote our culture, especially with the change we have in the country now. It is really good for us to show what we have to the rest of the world through our culture.”
