The couple formalised their union at the Kosofe Registry in Lagos State on February 15, as part of their quest to celebrate the Valentine’s Day in a unique way.
The couples were accompanied by relatives and close associates.
She also recalled that they had their traditional wedding last year, adding that it was imperative to make the relationship legal “We had our traditional wedding on February 15, 2014 on the same day as my birthday.
An atmosphere of love is around and we feel it is the perfect time to go to the registry and document our marriage properly.
“We decided to go to the registry because we see it as a renewal of our love. Also, for documentation purpose, it is better we go to a marriage registry, because traditional marriage is not really recognised and it does not have any certification to that effect. It is our own way of celebrating Valentine.”
