Ini Edo gets political appointment

The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Gabriel Udom Emmanuel, has confirmed the political appointment of Nollywood actress, Ini Edo as the Special Adviser on Tourism of the state.

The appointment was announced by the state government in the early hours of Friday.

Confirming the appointment, the actress, who received the development in good fate wrote on her Instagram page that it was true that she has been appointed the Special Assistant on Tourism to the Akwa Ibom state Governor, Udom Emmanuel.

She wrote further:"To be called to serve is an honour. I give God all the glory. Am grateful to my state, my Governor, everyone of you with your constant prayers and support... God bless u."
   
Ini Edo, who is from the state has joined the list of other Nollywood actresses such as Kate Henshaw and Nkiru Sylvanus among others who hold political positions as Special Advisers in their respective states.
