Again, Seun Kuti Hits Buhari

CONTROVERSIAL Afrobeat musician and son of late Fela Kuti, Seun Kuti, has taken a swipe at President Muhammadu Buhari for cancelling a scheduled trip to the Niger Delta, to flag-off the clean-up of oil spills in Ogoniland, Rivers State following a United Nations Environment Report.

Taking to his Facebook account, Seun lambasted Buhari, saying he never cancels foreign trips.

“Na only local trips our pressido dey cancel,” Seun wrote in pidgin English. “E no say Una no get money to pay salary let alone give him the enjoyment he needs but mention for before the reign baba don dey pj, cross leg dey smile with news paper”

Some people have speculated that the cancelling of the visit was due to terrorist activities of the Niger Delta Avengers, a speculation which Seun highlighted.

“If our president dey fear Niger delta avengers Omo we the people don hear weeeeeen oooooo.”

On May 23, President Buhari was also unavailable for a working visit to Lagos State where he was to commission some projects executed by the Governor Akinwunmi Ambode-led administration.
