The family of late music producer and singer, Babatunde Okungbowa, a.k.a. OJB Jezreel, has released details of his funeral.
OJB Jezreel, who passed away on Tuesday, June 14, after a prolonged
battle with a highly malignant kidney disease, will be buried at the
Ikoyi cemetery in Lagos on Friday July 8. A candle light procession is
planned to hold on Monday, July 4 at 5pm.
The take-off point will be the late singer’s house in Surulere,
Lagos. A service of songs will take place on Thursday, July 7, at Ojez,
National Stadium, Surulere, while his remains would be interred after a
lying-in-state ceremony at his residence from 7am – 8am and immediately
followed by a service of song at the Redeemed Christian Church of God
(RCCG), Grace Chapel, Ogunlana Drive, Surulere, Lagos.
He is survived by an aged father, Chief Anthony Okungbowa (Arase of
Agbor), siblings, Mrs. Theresa Ebunola Gamba (USA), Mr. Cornelius
Archibong (England), Mr. Albert Okungbowa (USA) and Mr. Anthony
Okungbowa, Marvin Okungbowa, Bose Ajila Okungbowa, Joseph Okungbowa and
wives, Mabel Babatunde Okungbowa, June Okungbowa, Korede Okungbowa and
eight children.
