KSA, embassy react to botched US tour

King Sunny Ade and the Public Affairs division of the United States Embassy, have reacted to the recently botched United States tour of World Beat King’s 40 city tour.
KSA said that what happened was beyond his control and that his organisation lost much more than money to it, while the United States embassy, Abuja, in a video, only apologised to those affected by the technical hitch, but also stated that its  Information Communication Technology(ICT )experts had been working to rectify the problem in no time.

While apologising on the inconvenience, Joy, a staff at the embassy, in Abuja, and Sam, one of the visa assistance at the embassy in about two munities video, said a technical problem affected the processing of visas for applicants and also that KSA’s band was not the only one or organisation affected with the development, but that it was a global issue which is currently being rectified.
KSA described the news doing the rounds that three members of his organisation, who did not submit their application forms on time, were responsible for the embassy’s refusal to grant the entire group visas as untrue report.
The Juju musician said his own visa had been ready since June 2, while the band, which had earlier submitted their applications, were only waiting to be called for interviews some days after his visa was issued, only to be told that a computer breakdown had made it impossible for visa to be issued to applicants after June 9.
On disappointed fans who reacted to the sudden cancellation, KSA said he understood their deep feelings and passion, “that is why I am so pained about what happened and I sincerely apologise to them. The fault was not from us, neither was it the United States promoter. We know that refunding their gate fees was not enough, but we will not stop holding our fans dearly,” he said.
