KSA floats radio station

Music legend, King Sunny Ade, is set to join the leagues of broadcasting media owners in the country, a radio station precisely, as he had concluded plans to float a radio station in his hometown, Ondo State.
The Juju musician has assured to bring his local and global influence to bear in making the station the best in the country.
The new radio station named M&C (Music & Culture) FM, which will operate from Ondo West, will be transmitted to major cities in Nigeria, pending the time the master guitarist will open another in Ibadan.
The evergreen musician who deliberately took his time perfecting technical activities related to running a standard radio station, has formed a management team that has, as financial directors, apart from him as the chairman, one of Nigeria’s best media manager, a veteran journalist and a top broadcast engineer.
When asked why it took him almost a decade for his licence to be aproved, KSA, responded that, “Whatever is worth doing is worth doing well. The NBC has its operational standard, so do I. I deliberately took time off to carefully select a team of loyal partners who share same vision on what a music station should be. Don’t forget also that this will be the first radio station in Nigeria that will be solely devoted to promoting our culture and our music,” he added.
KSA applied for the licence in 2006 under the President Olusegun Obasanjo tenure and it will begin broadcasting before the end of this year, KSA promised.
