Big Sheff adores mum as she clocks 55

Son of  the queen of Waka music, Salawa Abeni, Big Sheff has celebrated his mum as she clocked 55 years-old.

Big Sheff as he's fondly called, celebrated his mum, saying  "Mummy dearest, the greatest of all time. You are one in a million. Words can never be enough to describe you. God will continue to guard, guide and protect you for us all. Ema pe fun wa, ede ma jeun omo, because you have worked and God will see us through to be the best children we can be to you. Happy birthday to my wonderful mother...love you mama."

Salawa Abeni who is delighted to be ageing gracefully began her professional music career when she released her debut album entitled "Late General Murtala Mohammed" in 1976 under stable of Leader Records.

Having gone through marital challenges and a life-threatening illness for over four years, the crowned queen of Niergain Music now has every reason to thank God for the gift of life, now that she is 55.

Salawa Abeni has been making efforts to support the music career of her children, as his son, Big Sheff, just as the have both been rocking different platforms since he returned to Nigeria. She has also shared stage with her with him.

Sheff remixed one of her mum's hit songs of the 90s, ‘Gentle Lady’ and the song enjoyed massive airplay across the country.
